I have a cable modem from @home. When I look in the registry I don't see any special setting's. Do they use the default setting's. Thank you in advance.

There won't be any "special" settings unless you have tweaked the reg, either w/a patch, or manually. If your reg is not tweaked, your looking at the default settings.

Also Remember that your computer has a NIC card and there for your computer thinks it's on a network, since you don't have to install separate software for the cable modem to work. so all that you will see in the registry is all the default settings for networking.
