Not sure how many of you might have experienced this problem, but last week my whole network crashed. I have a DSL thru a UGate-3000 with 3 computers and then uplink to another hub (3com) to 8 more computers. All PC's having complete access except the server.
First I thought I had a virus, nope. What was happening was the collision light was blinking
Found on UMAX Ugate forum that this happens and there is no way to reset the hub/proxy (3000), you must call 510-492-5760 for a RMA #. It would seem they are doing exchanges for any that fail regardless of age.
Hope this helps someone.

The Ugate 3000 I was using seemed to fail on me. I could go past the router to internet fine. I couldn't access the set up pages, so I couldn't change the DHCP setting page. The whole weekend I wondered why my ICQ ActiveList members couldn't connect. My TeamSound server was inaccessable to outside people or even me! I hooked up my Linksys I thought I was going to get rid of, and now almost everything is fine. I still have to figure out why I can't get my UT server to be displayed on the game browsers. I don't know if people would be able to connect until they can see it and try. I have sent an email the Ugate about this. Perhaps they will tell me to send it back.
