I know its been asked and solved before, but I seem to be unable to get any results from the board search to find the solution.

My IE is crashing when loading speedguide, I remember reading about the solution but I can't remember what it is.. could someone post it please?

Thanks!

I have the same problem, too. When I first got cable, I could load Speedguide with IE 5/5.5 all the time on Win98. Then one day, it just started locking up. I've given up on a solution. But there is a work-around: just go directly to the forums, bypassing the main speedguide page altogether. Just add this link to your favourites: http://www.speedguide.net/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&Forum&number=2 . It will take you right to the main page of the cable/xdsl forum.

A more pleasing workaround, I've found, is simply to dispatch of IE and switch to Opera. While Opera is not free, it is infinitely more stable than IE. Some sites still require IE or Netscape, but 95% will load flawlessly in Opera.

yes it just freezes IE doesn't even show anything.. the little "earth" stops spinning and I have to end task.. its weird cause it worked fine for along time then just suddenly started doing this. I'll have to run the IE repair tool in system info and see if that helps.
