Does anyone know of a utility, preferably free, that can document in 15 minute intervals what my connection speed is.
Reason: I have a DSL connection through Covad, which is a reseller through Bellsouth. Anyways, I am paying for a guaranteed 1.2mbs. I don't think I am getting that. So, I want to somehow document what my actual connection speed is every 15-30 minutes for a week so I can send my findings to them and demand some money back or fix my speeds.
To make matters worse, I have good connection speed to THEIR network. Meaning I get ping rates of 32ms when I ping their servers (DNS, News) which are internal to their network, but I average 98ms when I ping yahoo.com, altavista.com, etc. My online gaming is suffering!!!!
Any links to such a tool would be appreciated, I am willing to spend a little money on this tool.
