low speed with file sharing programs

I have tried at least 5 file sharing programs like napster, winmx and limewire.
When i download something whit these programs my download speed is 1-3 KB/s.
If i download from ftp or http then my speed is 100-200 KB/s. I'ts really annoying PLEASE somebody help me.
I have shared cabel connection.

Try the proper windows tweaks for your computer system found on this site, and remember, always download from people with cable or higher. I get frustrated from the same thing, but it is the other user's connection, not yours.
