pc-133RAM with pc-100RAM

can you mix the two to make 256RAM or would this cause problems on down the road. I know stupid question.

Biggy the rating on ram is just what it supposly can go 'up to' so if you stick a pc133 stick into a machine running a 100Mhz front side bus the ram will run at 100Mhz instead of 133Mhz at 100Mhz front side bus the ram is running at 15ns at 133Mhz it is running at 7.5Ns. So mixing should work unless one of the sticks is crappy some ram doesn't like to be mixed.

make shure you put the PC 133 ram in the first dimm slot and the second pc100 in the second dimm slot...or your computer will start beeping at you like mine did

I run a stick of 128pc100 and a stick of 128pc133 sdram. It won't hurt I have had it this way now for about a year. I order pc133 by mistake and didn't feel like sending it back. Just like was mentioned just run it in the frist slot. It will adjust to your bus speed. Hope this helps.
