Section 9 article B:
FTP/HTTP Service Setup. Customer should be aware that when using the Service to access the Internet or any other online network or service, there are certain applications, such as FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server or HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) server, which may be used to allow other Service users and Internet users to gain access to Customer’s computer. If Customer chooses to run such applications, Customer should take the appropriate security measures. Neither AT&T nor @Home Network shall have any liability whatsoever for any claims, losses, actions, damages, suits or proceedings resulting from, arising out of or otherwise relating to the use of such applications by Customer, including without limitation, damages resulting from others accessing Customer’s computer.

No where in the Members Policy does it say that "servers" are prohibited.

This is new to the Members Policy !!! Also the upload and download caps they are implementing, make it so that running a server doesn't affect everybody on the node.

Check here:
http://www.home.com/support/aup/

You may not run a server in connection with the @Home residential service, nor may you provide network services to others via the @Home residential service.

The policy is determined by the ISP using the @home network. Excite, At&T, Rogers -- they can all have different policies if they choose. They pay for use of the @home network wo it makes sense that they can allow whatever traffic they want across their little piece of the net.

Yep, so if AT&T said this on their members page then it will override the general @Home AUP. So I guess AT&T@Home users are lucky that they can run a server but if anything happens it will not be supported by AT&T. Now I am on Shaw..too bad I can't run a server (legally :p) but oh well.. my latency (ping) is so bad that a server ran on here would suck despite my fast upload. I wonder, how are the pings for other Shaw@Home people on this board (those that are on the Shaw backbone... not the @Home one).
