I am like the 10th on my server...it rocks...raking in the gold now =)
This XP bonus they gave us after the issues they had this weekend...was real nice..
in EQ1 if something like that happened they would not even be updating every hour nor give us anything.
Granted they have a lot more competition this time around with WOW
That game looks so damn amazing.. but i cannot get it.. my grades would slump for sure.

it is..and will take over your life..LOL
If they didnt charge per month for EQ and Asherons Call, its all I would ever do. I beta tested them both and got addicted, but I cannot pay per month when I had to pay for the game in the first place.

I look at it this way $15 a month is cheaper then going to the movies once a month, unless you get nothing to drink or eat.
So figure you going to spending a lot more time playing MMORPG like EQ2 then a 2 hour movie

They did the same thing for SWG lastyear. One of the makers of EQ2 was on techtv and said it.

oh cool...they never did it for EQ1 so kind of suprised...EQ2 has big compettion right now with WoW so think they doing whatever they need..lol
ya, there were x-mas, veteran and anniversary gifts/rewards in SWG. usually something that couldnt be crafted (so they'd be "rare"). spaecial speeders and paintings and spacships and such.
with Jump to Lightspeed you got a luxury space yacht (Sorosuub) as a (in my case) 6 month veteran reward.

yeah but i usually get bored with them in less then a month
I played EQ1 3 years straight took a break and played for another year or so
EQ2 is designed from ground up to last 5+ years easily
But to me having same character and working on him and in 2 years be same character but with better equpiment and higher level is more fun
