Satellite vs Cable/DSL

We have a application that works fine with anyone using cable/DSL/landline to reach our website. Users reaching our website via satellite are having issues. They are able to reach our website but not able to navigate. Any idea what could be causing this? ours is a secure website i.e., https.

When this happened at our site, it turned out that the problem was timing. With satellite users, there was a smally timeout between the time we sent a request and the time they received it. Our server kept timing out.

Our solution was to increase the timeout on our server.
