Hey there,
I d really need some help here. Had some connection problems on my desktop comp and my provider said I had a new IP and needed to change it. So I did. Now it connects alright, but my speed went down by exactly half. Asked them, they keep saying it s not their doing.
So i tried the same on my laptop. It connected with the old ip at an ok speed (30k/s download - i m just adding that so maybe you will take pity on me :p)
Changed the ip as told and voila - the most frustrating 15k/s speed you can imagine.
Both machines are win 98SE running with Netscape - the desktop one has all the speed patches I got from you a while back, the laptop is unpatched.
What am I doing wrong? Please help. It s extremely frustrating and I fear for my sanity and for the machines`continued existence in their present form. ;)
