I've got Win XP Service Pack 1, and my internet connection (via dial-up modem) disconnects and the entire computer freezes and CTRL-ALT-DELETE doesn't even work. This has happened on more than one occasion and on different web sites. Could it be my XP firewall?

Also, I have software for the Norton 2004 Personal Firewall. I've researched and I think I'd rather install it (not currently installed). Is it possible to run both Norton and Win XP firewalls at the same time or is it overkill?

Thanks

Don't run either, XP's firewall is only "half a firewall" since it only monitors incoming data and Norton's firewall is a resource hog and terrible. Use Sygate instead and you should update XP to SP2 as well.
