hi,
I've been getting a message when I clcik on the Netscape icon that say 'Javascript error or missing'. Does anybody else experience this problem too. If so, what is your solution to the problem?

I use both Netscape and IE.
IE is much better.
First, is this a page that could actually have errors in the code?
(ie "John Doe's Family Vacation Page" as opposed to Yahoo.com)
If this error is received at every page rather than possibly poorly coded ones...
-make sure you actually have a connection (sometimes Netscape spits out wierd errors if there is no connectivity)
-delete disk and memory cache
-delete cookies.txt
-delete "prefs.js" and "lipref.js" in your
profile directory
-if all else fails take out the virtual exacto knife and remove and reinstall netscape (taking care to back up your profile)

I deleted everything that u said, but it appears back in the profile. Here's what the message says exactly, 'the backup Javascript configuration file was absent or had error. We will default to the satndard configuration'. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the @home program.
Don't reinstall all that @Home software crap. Reinstall Netscape itself.
