View Full Version : Registry Settings
The MaxMtu should only be added for the tcp/ip or does these tweaks apply/help for all protocols? I noticed when using the patches values are added to everything wich is not the case following the manually editing instructions.
Is Value:
MaxDupAcks 03
In MSTCP/Paramenters correct?
I noticed you get different value when using patch then adding manually.

It is a dword value either way. Read under the advanced regestry settings and it will explain it to you. The patch puts in the same.
What OS are you using?
I've looked at a few registry tweaks and noticed that alot of additional entries are standard and therefore not needed. In some cases the settings are set in the wrong registry path.
I suggest you have a look into microsoft. This is for win2k as an example:
http://www.microsoft.com/TechNet/network/tcpip2k.asp
Look at Appendix A,B,C & D
