Would it make a difference in quality to use dsl or cable modem line to call thru msn messenger. if yes, then, which one is better and why? Right now I am using just a regular 56k modem, which results in poor quality.

I hate to tell ya, but I've been using a web based pc to phone deal the past few weeks and it BLOWS away MSN and every other pc to phone deal I've tried. It's called Go2Call and it allows pc to phone not only to the US and Canada but to the UK, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands and a couple other countries. The incoming voice quality is very good but the outgoing voice quality from what my friends and family have told me is terrific. I'm not sure how it would sound on a 56k, but I would imagine it would be failry decent. As far as which is better DSL or Cable, I find both are equal when it comes to those types of things.
