Latest additions to HTPC

Well, ditched the ati 7500 and replaced with a AIW 9800 pro 128 meg card.
Pulled the generic PSU and replaced with an Antec 330 True power. Pulled the 60 gig Maxtor and replace with 2 120 gig Seagate Barracuda's.

The HTPC's current config is as folllows
1.9 Piv
512 DDR
ATI AIW 9800 pro 128 meg
Creative Audigy II
Lite On DVD
80 gig WD-SE for OS and programs and page file and some back up
120 gig Seagate Barracuda for MP3's
120 gig Seagate Barracuda for movies

Works awesome now, just need to see how much I can customize the AIW's IR remote

looks good! are those Bose speakers? :thumb:

with the 3 hard drives, do you have 1 on the same channel as teh CD drive? doesn't that hurt performance?

nice. Never thought of just tipping a normal case on it's side to fit in with stereo equipment. You are teh creative.:D

Its only for MP3's and movies, performance aint much of an issue for its use, PIV with 512, and a AIW 9800 pro, it serves the purpose.
Also pulls internet radio which is cool cause we only have one station here that sucks bigtime.
And yuppers, Bose 301's up front, 201's in the rear. Paradygm cc170 in the center and a paradygm PDR 12 sub strapped to a Denon 1403 receiver,
Works for me :)

I keep looking at HTPC cases, but just cant justify $300 plus, when this case cost me $25

The AIW 9800 pro is has a tuner, seems to work pretty decent, but i dont watch tv so I dont need a PVR even though that option works great on the ATI AIW 9800pro

Looks great chris, Just built a HTPC, mainly for PVR use but it can do FM too, so i figure why not go all out with it :)


I just have to figure out how to get winamp, media player, monkey or anything else to use the remote lol
