Please help!! I've been looking for quite a while, so at this point, I'm sure I'll get the same response (that I can't possibly do this)

I have a Westell A2100 series modem. I have configured it to the Bittorrent suggestions (such as the port foward 6881-6889)

Next, I went to Network Settings, on Win 2000, and configured it "manually", using the IP Address I got when I "command" from "run" and typing "ipconfig /all" I got the numbers there and posted them in Network Settings. So acutally, I confugured the Two. Modem and Computer.

Next, I downloaded Spybot S&D, updated it, ran it, cleaned cpu.

Next, I downloaded Adaware, updated it, ran it, cleaned cpu.

Now, after doing all that, I go to Lokitorrent, or [another torrent site], and downloading still only runs about 10 to 15 kbps. (I may not have typed the right kbps or kps, but which ever one it is its the SLOWEST) But, get my point, its very slow.

I have Bellsouth "Lite" which is the slower version of DSL, but the way I think is, just because its "Lite" dosent mean that I cant configure it some kinda way to recive 100 Kbps. Now, please, will someone out there give me a solution to this problem, or am I just hopless??

Thanks very much,

About the TCP Optimizer, I download it properly, install it properly, and run it properly. I go off the instructions that I downloaded, using this file told me to configure "Optimize" select what type net I have which is "PPPOE" (I Think!!) and with the Optimizer installed I still get these slow speeds.

Can anyone help me here too??

Thanks very much,

Jeff Gentry :2cool: :irate:

I don't know how to test speed up and down. I had used a program once, TCP Analyzer and it told me how to do this, still, I couldnt do it??? Maby I'm dumb or something??? Could you tell me step by step how to do this and what to look for???? Also, I really don't know the speed I'm paying for. I think that its 256kbps????? Should I call Bell South and ask?????

Thank you

Under McCoffee's last message to you, you'll see some links. Just click on the tcp analyzer link. If it takes you to the home page, click it again.
