128MB of RAM should suffice, even if your running 2k. Specifically, what apps seem to exhaust your resources? What OS are you running?

Glc - thanks for replying. I'm running Windows ME..nothing else starts up with the computer (not even the things hidden) just the sound icon is in the systray. That isn't really a concern now I'm getting more ram shortly. As far as overclocking..I have a Tyan Trinity 400, and I have the diagrams somewhere in their book. It has the flipchip input thing (which I use - pIII 667 flipchip) and then that other big slot which also holds a processor. Anything else need to be known? Power supply: 300w, PCI's: Aopen 10/100 Nic, Aopen Aud Phantom Sound card, ATI TV Wonder VE. Vid Card: TNT2 M64 32mb
Thanks http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif

To be honest what you want to do rather then what I did isn’t going to work. First it’s impossible to go AGP to AGP no motherboard supports two right now. AGP to PCI wont work either due to the different bus speeds, and voltage differences. What I did was took two PCI based Voodoo’s and patch linked them together.

Do you have an IDE like control interface on your Voodoo 3500 graphic adaptor? If not your going to need a patch link PCI adaptor that lets you use Two PCI Graphic Adaptor (compatible ones which means same company 9/10 times) this is a trick that Graphic designers do for better Fps for title like 3dStudioMax, Maya, Bryce and other rendering title.

Ok first I want to say there is a forum for stuff not directly related to Cable/xDSL or High Speed Internet. That is either the General forum or Hardware forum for this thread. There have already been some good threads in the General Forum about people asking everyone's specs. That said though I do understand how this forum gets the most views and reads though and will probably get the most replys to a thread like this. So for RIGHT now I'm going to leave this thread be, but in the future we may decide to move it.

DG, Please tell me your kidding? You are not using an old IBM 486!!!
I was just messing around with the folks here (nobody fell for it). If you are using a 486, I think all SG members should chip in a $1 each and get you a Pent II for Christmas.

Speedguide has a great search engine (http://www.speedguide.net/cgi-bin/search.cgi?action=intro&default=2)
My Machine:
PIII 866 Coppermine o/c to 903 (As high as I could achieve and keep stability) ALPHA cooling.
ASUS CUSL2 mobo
256 MB 133Mhz SDRAM
ASUS GeForce 32 MB DDR video card o/c to 150 Mhz and 340 Mhz memory speed.
SoundBlaster Live!
Cambridge Sound works 5 piece speakers (just the basics. This is next upgrade)
40 gig maxtor UDMA 100 hdd.
16x 40x Pioneer DVD.
3com905c 10/100 NIC Card
@home cable WITH A LOUSY 128kbps u/l cap!
MS Game voice.
Viewsonic 19" GS790 Monitor.
3d Mark 2000 results are 6948 at 800x600
With software cooling and the extra fans installed on my case my cpu temp gets down to 9 degrees centigrade idle and my card processor never gets above 104 Farenheit.
Hey. Can anyone tell me how this software cooling works and are these measurements accurate? It's the software that came with the ASUS board. This seems WAY to good to be true. I'm I taking a preformance hit for this?
Incidently. Is there a purpose to this thread? Or is it just chance for us to brag about our machines? http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif

Nice system, but why RAID 0? Why would you want a stripe set with no parity? There is no fault tolerance with this setup. One drive goes... everything is lost. Only advantage I can see is larger volume set and slightly faster read/write if there is data spread across both drives.
Not a criticism- just trying to understand why and learn.
