Picked up a "Sport" Liberty today. Some of the criteria that I wanted...
6cyl
Standard tranny
Leather seats
Sunroof
AC
Decent stereo
Trailer tow package
4WD
Split folding rear seats

So after shopping around, looking at used (1-3 year old) various sport utes, crossover vehicles, I came across Chryslers 0% financing push. Heck, pickup a new 25 grand vehicle with full warranty for the same monthly payments on a used car loan for 18 grand or so, or barely more.

At first I was looking at the Renegade models, but after a while, that row of lights and the rivoted fender flares made me think I was either trying to be 18 again, or having a midlife crisis. Some vehicle out of the props for Jurassic Park. I looked at the Liberty Limited Edition, til I found out they only came with automatic trannies. So down to the sport...but they don't come with many options like leather seats, and look a bit bland. So in the Mopar options book they had, found the "Chrome Option set", which consists of the bullbar up front, the rims, the taillight covers, and the sidestep tubes. The dealer had a guy which hand installed the leather seats, at much higher quality than factory. And I wanted black. They found a black V6 5ps with power windows and sunroof at another dealer...and we shook hands. The steroe wasn't the top option one, just a CD player, 80 watt, 6 speaker set. But I'm not huge on driving around making everyone else listen to my music anyways, I like to keep it to myself. ;)

Tires...yeah, small stock Goodyear Wranglers. YUCK! I'll beat the tar out of them, and get some REAL tires on there this spring...some BFG Radial All Terrain Radial T/As of a slightly larger size.

Well, here she is! Kinda looks pretty lean and mean I think!

25k eh? Coulda got a used STi for that. :D

Black with black leather....that thing will be an oven in the summer. Get some of that titanium tint, it'll help alot with temps in the summer. Hold on...looks tinted already, prolly the same kinda stuff.

Gonna mod it at all?

Prolly another Borla stainless header==>back kit like I had on the Wrangler. Haven't pushed this engine yet, not as strong as my previous Wrangler was (had that puppy pushing out quite a bit more), but I've yet to look into breathing add ons for this 3.7 L.

Goes well on the highway.

The 250hp wagon tempted me...believe me...looked at those at 2 dealerships. Niiiice rides....I just wanted something "higher, more truckier".

Jeeps really improved their look by rounding out the corners, they used to be so square, box-like.

It looks good !!!

Black paint, nice..

After buying my first jeep I don't think I'll ever own anything else. I'm hooked. Absolutley love em. Good choice. When the liberty's were first introduced I didn't really like them that much but they grew on me fast. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

Nice alarm system Subsane! :D

Yeah I'm kinda still loyal to Jeeps. My 3rd one....I've beat the living snot out of my prior ones, and they still keep on going, begging for more.

Hated the liberty myself when they first came out, reminded me of those little imported 4x4's, a "ladies mini-jeep" or something like that. But after a few years, in needing something small, more storage and comfort than a Wrangler, yet still not as big as a Cherokee, finally caved in.

Looks good, Cat! My mom got one last year and I finally caved and admitted that I liked them enough. They are pretty agile (as far as SUVs go) and pretty comfy. She doesn't have all the bling or the Jeep scruff cover.

Contrary to what John said, I want to see that thing covered in mud soon! Take her up into VT and get her dirty. I want to get my Xterra offroad. They are VERY capable.

Great buy!
