Well,
Philip posted some pics from a trip a couple of weeks ago... Jimmy & I knew that we should have used him for chum (bait for ye landlubbers...) as he took some very incriminating pics of us... (That was NOT me laying sprawled out on the floor of the salon (living room on a boat), too drunk to make it to my stateroom (bed)... Philip must have photochopped the pic as you guys know that I would NEVER get THAT drunk the night before a category 4 hurricane is expected to hit the next morning... That bastage! :D He'll walk the bloody plank next trip! ;) Dead men tell no tales! :D

Here is the link, I will explain some in a bit. I am just hopping that you guys don't find the good ones! :p

Mainly, the pics are of Philip, Jimmy (Jim F on the Folding team) and I, fishing, partying, preping for Charley, Key West boarded up for charley, Ken drunk and passed out on the floor, etc...

AAaaaarrrrgghhhhh!

Some explanations...

The first shots are of us leaving Key West and heading out to Woods Wall. The wall was cut out by the swift current of the gulf stream. The depth drops off sharply to 2000 ft... Thus the reference to a wall... Crusin' along watching the depth drop, 200 ft, 800, 1800,... Yeah baby! Deep water! ;) Anybody want to try and touch bottom?! :D Note how the color of the water changes when it gets deep.
The beautiful aqua color is from the sandy, shallow bottom...
The red stain on Jimmy's shirt was a jello shooter gone bad the night before! :rotfl: Philip & I gave him a hard time with that one! Rum Runners and jello shooterz, ya gotta luv Key West... ;)

Porpoises or perhaps bottle nose dolphins, were swimming with us. We were cruising ~25 knots and they were swimming with us, under us, etc. Actually, they luv to rub their backs on the bottom hull of the boat. Sometimes ya gotta scratch that itch! Amazing how fast they are and how intelligent.

A fully school of them...

Philip was piloting the boat! (Good thing that we were in the middle of the Ocean! :D )

You have to watch for birds and weed lines as that is where the fish are... Once we get to the wall, the out riggers go out. We were really looking for for dolphin (mahi mahi, not flipper!) as we only had the Penn 30's out... The 80's and 100's were on stand by in their holders in the salon... ;)

In the 90 miles between Key West and Cuba, is some major shipping lanes. We sent this one up to see Roundeye in New Orleans!

Prepping for Charley. Double tying the bow lines and stringers. This is at A&B Marina inside of the Key West Bight.

Yep, you got it SCat. That is me in the guy harvey talking to a PYT. Hey, she came up to me, what's a poor boy to do... ;) :D Too bad Philip didn't get a pic of the Polish girl... Hey, you know me, I always help a damsel in distress... ;)

That is the world famous "Treebar". If you have never been to the treebar, then you have never been to KW...
That was Thursday night before Charley arrived the next morning. Nothing but locals... My friend Mark was tending bar, and pouring them hard... ;) Topping them rum runners with about 2" of 151... ;) ouch! It was so freaking hot, we all were drippin'... Had a blast, no clue how I made it back to the boat, and then onto the boat, passing out immediately in the doorway floor! :o

That shirt that Jimmy has on is the only reason that he was able to return to KW. He said the he had to take a boat out of the Key, so they let him go down on an empty plane.
The airport closed Thursday AM. They closed all hotels and had extra planes and busses to evacuate all of the tourists...
The streets were empty, just about everywhere was closed, except... you got it, the Treebar! heheehheheheheehehe

Well blame any and all things about the pics on Philip! Even the lack of as he "conveniently forgets the camera" often... You can tell that all pics taken were only from a couple of days... ;) Ask him about the other week or 2 or 3! ;)

I can not lie! Everything was Philip's fault! (Including the hurricane!) :D :rotfl: :rotfl:
