Re-sizing question

Is there a way to make a digital image smaller without losing overall image quality through pixelation?

Tried using Mihov and Photoshop, but the only ways of adjusting the size seem to just make the image too pixely.

Trying to take images, shrink them down to slide size (for an overhead projector) and print them on transparency sheets.

Any ideas?

When you reduce the size of the image, you therefore reduce the print size.

Use bicubic resizing for best quality, not "nearest neighbor." Doesn't solve the problem though, the pic size determines print quality.

Gotta run back to work now....
