Win ME Speeds

I was running win98se and using the mtupatch98.zip patch. Yesterday I formatted and installed winME and installed the sguide_tweak_98_ME patch. To say that speeds for both downloading and web page loading suck, would be a serious understatement. I tried using the default patch and continue to receive the same speeds. Anyone else experiencing the same or may be able to make any suggestions? Other than my OS and patches, nothing has changed.

Cablenut, what OS are you running? Can I assume by the remark its a Millennium issue?

winME here. everything's perfect. same speeds as win98, from 50KB/s to 300KB/s or so, everything that the cable in the area has always given me , with or without patches.

Im running linux, and windows 2000. I don't know if it's a millenium related issue I just have seen alot of complaints about millenium http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif
