3c905b-tx is for networking its not for a dialup connection you would have to have Broadband for it to work. Like Cable or DSL

There is not a dialup tweak here at speedguide at least not one that I know of..
But at this site there is one take a look around under the standard tweaks.. http://www.microsyspro.com
Also if you go to http://www.regedit.com
The also have the settings for the dialup modem download there help file theres more than just dialup settings there..

you can also clean up your wires as suggested by crazyman and change out hardware..
One thing to keep in mind the patch will only hael if your using direct dialup networking other dialup software can make there own settings

Wow 56k gamin yeah i remember those days. (ouch just got my new cable modem and is cs great)

But anyways..

if you must still use 56k ( i would first recommend cable or dsl its worth) then i would recommend you get the 3com US robotics 56k gamin modem it comes with the x2 protocol and you might wanna call your isp up and see if there compatable with it.
