Bittorrent problems...

Anyone use bittorrent? If so help me with it. Ive been using bittorrent for a while and it was doing pretty i thought. But then i downloaded bit tornado. It's supposed to be a fancier and improved version of bittorrent. But my firewall keeps getting in the way. Can someone help me get through my firewall? I'm pretty sure its my linksys router that is causing the trouble.

I use...but can't help you. I just starting using it...don't have the tornado version you speak of.

try opening port 6881 - 6889 for TCP

Is it a hardware firewall? Or software? If it's hardware forward the ports like chris said, if its software you should just have to click allow when it trys to connect to the tracker.
