1607 fault

Hi,
Would somebody please help me to fix this problem that is when I try to install the tryout software it give me this message" 1607 Unable to installshield Scrioting Runtime"? I use same software for diff computer it load fine. Please show me how to fix this. Thanks :rolleyes: :eek: :confused:

I'm guessing you're running Windows2000 / WinXP?

I witnessed this on 2 computers recently, although I have no idea of the cause (possibly a windows update). There's a few different things you can try - one thing would be to try restoring full access rights to System and Administrator using administrator tools. This worked for me when playing around. Can you confirm that you get this error with every software install that uses installshield?
