...I downloaded the latest Nvidia Geforce Drivers for Win9x (http://www.nvidia.com/object/win9x_61.76) and when I go to install it, the usual box pops up that says "disable all anti-virus programs then click next to continue". With no anti-virus programs open, I click next. The box closes and nothing happens. I tried closing as many background programs as I can, then I try again. Same thing. I rebooted my puter and tried again. Same thing. I ran Scandisk, defragmented, ran AVG, Aaw, Spybot, Spywareblaster and did everything I could think of. Same thing.
Do you guys know what I should do?
Btw, I'm using Windows98 SE.

Well, I've already tried re-downloading it a million times. Nothing changed.
Change your adapter type to Standard PCI Graphics Adapter
What does that mean, and how do I do it?

First try Driver Cleaner (http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner) then try again.
Also what actual model do you have?
:)

Crap, dood. I followed Driver Cleaner's instructions and uninstalled my drivers and did the cleaning and stuff, and the nvidia 61.76 drivers still won't install. So, now I'm stuck like this with 640 x 480 res and 16 colors. So, now I don't even have any drivers. I wish I could get my old drivers back on here. Old is better than none. :irate: Someone please help me.

Try an older driver, the new one isn't really designed for your card. You can find a list of them all HERE (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?id=10).

New ones should still work fine and install.

Steele - Alright. I'm all fixed up. Thanks for the link.
YoS - Well, the latest driver wouldn't install. And last format - about 26 months ago (I'd say I'm about due for another format :o )
