A bad trader is a bad trader so I thought I'd spread the word here.

The person's ebay handle is matt490

I bought a Pioneer 12 CD Changer from this guy. Here's how it arrived, smashed and broken:

http://goobee.myftp.org

Idiot said it was my fault for not paying him extra to put insurance on it. Huh?

I left him negative feedback and note his rebuttal:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws1/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=matt490

Unless I'm reading his comment wrong, he admits he did a poor packing job.

In any case, he left a retaliatory negative for me.

You guys might want to put this guy down on your DNT list.

Hi Goobee...Im sorry this happened to you. I don't know what shipper was used but the way that box looked it would seem that It could have possibly happened after shipment..Most shippers will not accept something in such poor condition. It looked as tho someone urinated on that thing and it was run over by a truck. UPS is automatically insured for 100.00 and less. If you purchased this item and it was shipped thru UPS I would hold the box and call them and report this as a damaged shipment. I don't know if the USPS does the same thing. Luckily it was only 52.00 and not like 300-500 purchase. I always add in insurance if its an expensive item and especially if I get it at auction for a lot less then its worth , in case I need to replace it. I hope you get your money back. Good luck Goobee.

Thanks, he's already told me tough sh*t so I'm not going to get any money back. It was sent USPS and they don't insure anything by default, only if you ask for it.

I'm chalking this up as a bad ebay experience and letting everyone know.

I have to admit that was a pretty crappy packaging job. I wouldn't want to bet that it wasn't shipped in that condition.
