View Full Version : NTOSKRNL.EXE trying to access the 'net...
Sygate Personal Firewall Pro keeps popping up telling me NTOSKRNL.EXE is trying to access the network...I'm wondering WHY it would need to.
do a few virus scans...
Heh...i was in the process of doing that...
AVG, NOD32, Trend Micro online
No viruses, no spyware, nothing...
I just disallowed it access completely, and so far I don't see any reason why it'd need to access. I've shut off just about every unneeded service...

No, I even uninstalled file sharing from my network connection during XP setup, and Sygate was configured to not allow it, either.
EDIT: Sygate blocks it from accessing, but I was just curious as to why it would even try. Thanks guys.

I had a similar problem with PANDA AntiVirus' Firewall.
I was getting Connection attemps every few seconds,
only to find out that Desktop Webshots was polling for an
Internet Connection so as to update it.
