I would like to get some feed back from people that have used this and or are currently using it. Give me the low down on everything you can think of. I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks.

Haven't used MS Office since 97. OO is great. Free and powerful, not tough to figure out after using MS Office. They're good at fixing bugs too.

Why its better
It's free
Open Source
Gets everything I need done.
Why pay $130 for M$ when OO does everything better and freer (is that a word? it is now)

It's really come along. Has a lot of support out there.

OpenOffice is awesome. Export to PDF, documents WITHOUT THE ****ING PAPERCLIP, free, stable, fast, can read/write MS office documents..

The main things it lacks - compared to MS - is on the collaboration/messaging stuff. Not too important for home/SMB user.

What I dig most about the OO Spreadsheet app is that you can save to different formats without having the headers corrupted. Try and save an Exel spreadsheet as a CSV file and you will se the wierd stuff Exel places in theb headers of the document, and worse yet, try to open a standard CSV file in Excel you must go through the hoops just to select HOW it should be displayed.
