Uninstall Norton AV

Geeks, please help me out with this devil.... I have been trying to uninstall Norton Antivirus, but it is not letting me do anything..I have tried Add/Remove programs and tried to physically find uninstall.exe in Norton directory..Dint work..

do you hace the CDRom ? if so,try that,there should be a remove feature there you can try,

what does the message exactly say when you try and un-install?

I meant, I have been trying to uninstall Norton AV software from my laptop, but I dont see Norton's name in the add/remove progran listing.

So, my question is: How do I uninstall Norton from my laptop?

Note: I am uninstalling Norton AV because it has expired; and I have got McAfee now.

Maybe its listed under symantec?

Both prodcuts norton and mccaffee are not that great in ImHo. Both uses way to many resources.

Ya but in my experience mcafee lets ALOT of stuff through.

Bingo!

When you run it, it will ask you if you want to try removing it first using Add/Remove programs. Make sure you select "No"...then it will run and remove the program, and leave a text file in the directory you saved and ran it from.
