Just ran 3DMark03 on my system now that it has a fresh install, all brand new up to date drivers. How is this score for my system(see sig)?

I'm thinking this is a little low for the cost of my system, probably partly because of my CPU. I'm looking at upgrading here soon, probably put about $300-400 into it. So I'm thinking a new P4 northwood and motherboard, or X800 Pro? I'd really like the northwood cause I think I'll see a performance difference outside of games as well as a little in them to. I want to OC a 2.8 or 3.0C to 3.4-3.6 ! Any thoughts, suggestions, comments?

Thanks,
Kyler1

To be honest with ya i think that is just right. 3dmark03 your score depends so much more on your vid card the proc. If you want a new proc out of the ones you mentioned i would grab at 3.0c. Have mine at 3.5 on stock cooling right now.

that score is right on.

anything in the 'c' class of p4's is worth your time. I have a p4 2.4c running at 3.0-3.1 with stock cooling. The largest advantage of oc'ing is your increased memory and FSB speeds.

most people like the asus mobo, but I perfer the abit ic7 series. It allows more headroom for oc'ing because it allows you to lock the agp/pci bus speed.
