I'm getting intermittent web access with temperamental downloads using a DG834 Wireless router and WG311v2 Adapter. At best I get 20kbps out of it, other times it drops to under 1kbps and can disconnect from the router from time to time. At first it disconnected a lot, but once I moved my PC around, and moved the router into the kitchen just below my room, I get 100% signal strength all the time.
I've tried Upgrading the firmware on my router from 1.03 to 1.05 and also updating the software for my card, but it hasn't helped, I think since upgrading the router my adapter has started to disconnect from the router sometimes. I've now done a hard-reset of the router and downgraded it back to 1.03.
I've also tried changing the MTU size to other values, with either no effect, or decreasing the internet performance. I've decided its best at the default setting of 1500.
Does anyone have any suggestions for boosting web access? I've tried hard-wiring the router to my dad's PC downstairs and get a constant download of 60kbps off most websites, I might just bite the bullet and use cables.

By the way i'm running Windows XP with all the Updates and have 512kbps ADSL from www.zen.co.uk
