Does anyone know if a real-time connection monitor is available for cable service?
Specifically, a real-time monitor that checks d/u speeds at a regular interval to provide a better picture of true d/u speeds then the quickie tests do..
I suspect that my speeds aren't where they should be (AT&T@home), but i have no proof to show the level 2 techs.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Broadband Wizard (http://www.kissco.com)
Allows you to test your connection against their servers at a regular interval by downloading a file.

You also might wanna try AnalogX's netstat live. It's freeware, and it give you information on how much you're up/downloading. If you want to test your bandwidth, download as much as you possibly can at the same time, and then check which numbers it displays.
Cheers,
Ronald

I have to agree with Speed, AnalogX's program is very good and FREE!! It even tells you CPU usage and download totals. www.analogx.com (http://www.analogx.com)

Netstat is by far the best I've used...They have some other great software at their site to at www.analogx.com (http://www.analogx.com) too....
How do you, guys use NSL? I mean, as far as my speed, I do not need a speedometer to surf, I know when the net is fast and when it's slow. Can SNL tell me that the speed is slow because of my PC problem, and, therefore, I can do something?
Another thing: its interface. It displays thin green characters on black background, I can barely read the largest ones.
