Actually a good nic does matter. A better nic can provide more features (such as adaptive load balancing, cache, and fault tolerance) and provide a more stable, and faster expierience. Since I upgraded to a Intel 100+ Managment card I have gotten the best speeds I have seen, and not to mention adpative load balancing and 6K of on nic cache. I would go with the 3com one Cpt.

Hi Cpt..
Not really, unless you are into splitting infinite technical "hairs" by their finite microscopic possibilities.

For our purposes, "We basically ain't gonna' know the difference!"
