is this speed what 512 ADSl should be ???

i am getting speed test as the Your current bandwidth reading is:

405.20kbps
i am on 512 ADSl both ethernest and usb netcom 1300 router.
i am useing the optimizer tweak , i can only down load at 50kb/sec
Is thios right for 512 ADSl speed i am not really sure

read 1st below me if you live in the states steeles thread has a bunch of speakeasy's sites select the closet server to you

if you are in other parts of the world www.testmyspeed.com they have international sites

with dsl I generally shoot for 80-85 percent of advertised due to central office distance from house to the c.o phone line quality etc etc your speeds look average for dsl imho

well i did a speed test from this site it gave me 42kbps, thats incredibly inaccurate, i wasnt running any download softwaer at the time... but when i do download i get about 55 - 62kilobytes/s
