ANSYS users?

I am looking for some help with ANSYS concering the use of link elements in a cable system model I am developing. I am modelling a cable meshed with link8 elements, the cable has pinned B.C.'s on both ends, a point load in the middle. When I run the static analysis it runs without any errors but then i get no displacements, stresses of any kind. I'm stumped. If anyone with any experience with link elements could offer advice it would be greatly appreciated.
