DSL Registry Tweak Question

Hi. I was wondering what would be the optimal setting for the max mtu. I have ADSL that supports PPPoE and the line speed is rated at 1.5 down and 512 up.

1492 is the Maximum MTU PPPoE (COUGH COUGH!!, LOL!) can support. for your 1.5Mbps/200kbps (I will not comment, lol!) it should work good unless your line is bad. I am on cable and my speeds are 5 to 7Mbps/ and 1mbit http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/tongue.gif up and I use an MTU of 1500 and it works like a charm. Remeber PPPoE can only go up to 1492 cause of the 8 byte wrapper added to that by the PPPoE client.
