Hey i got a cable modem here in charlotte i dl atleast 500kb or less i try tweaks and stuff don't seem to be much improvement any other ideas?

SpeedMan, is that 500 kiloBYTES or kiloBITS?

What tweaks have you tried? Have you tried Cablenuts patch. What OS are you running?

if your doing 500KB/s do not complain, I do 600KB/s and at DSLR I started complaining when they fell to 300KB/s and they made me realise my connection really rocks http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif.... on the other hand if your doing 500kbps then something is wrong or your provider sucks http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/tongue.gif, try using cablenut's patch it is a good place to start on, however I eventualy taylored my own Win2k tweaks which work very nicely, so far my upload also is 130KB/s, which is nice, it may be faster I still have a lot of testing to do.
