howdy!

laptop runs a p4 2.66. if I fold, it automatically forces me to run at the full 2.66 and not at the slower speeds.

at those speeds, it gets very hot. I dont want to force it down because there are situations where the 2.66 throttle up is needs. Is there a way to have it run at the 1.6 throttled down, such that folding isnt maxing out the processor?

thanks!

tom

That's a good idea, I'm going to have to do that. Will save my battery when I forget to stop the service when I go mobile.
