Subtle changes to game server settings

*I increased the map change time from 5 seconds to 10 seconds. Reason being, it seems unfair that those peeps with fast machines are first in the level, jump in a heli or plane, and rush off to cap a flag while those peeps with average machines are still trying to load the map. Yes I'll raise my hand and say I'm guilty of doing this. Just seems better to start a level with more players spawning right away.

*Increased splash damage from vehicles...from the default 100 to 125. See how it is, and increase it some more. Just because you can practically shoot someone with a tank and hit them where their shadow is...and have little or no effect.

Yeah I kind of liked that being the first one in a map and jumping in a Helo to sit and wait for a gunner ....

Nothing like dropping a shell on an infantryman's head and him just brushing off the dust from the blast only to turn around to kill your tank with a butter knife. :p

Lol, I crashed the first time I flew today cause with no cockpit view it threw off how many time I usually hit c to get back to my regular view.

resulting in a fatal tree.

Cockpit view is still there, its the nose view that is gone, and that sucks.

Why would you turn the nose cam off :confused:

IF the POV worked for BF sure, if the controls did not lock up when using mouselook, sure, but they don't.
Flying with nose cam off is like flying or driving without ever looking to the sides or up and down. Its unrealistic. Nobody flies or drives like that, ever. :confused:

Oops...it's back. It was another setting I intended on....the manager didn't really describe a difference. Choice of 3 things...trial and error I guess. :D

Uhm, I kinda HAVE to have the nose view. The windows(with my graphics settings) are opaque. I hope its back to the old way.
