View Full Version : anyone point me to a good 35mm scanner?
i know there are expensive dedicated film scanners out there, but is there a resonably cheap one that performs reasonably well? i've got quite a few negatives to scan.

I personally haven't tried any but here's some stuff for you to take a look at.

i've got a microtek scanner 4800 model that has a 35mm scanner attachment on it. Bought the whole setup a yr ago for 68$.
works good...
i know relatively cheap epsons <$200 have transparency adapters and such...anybody know if the quality is reasonable?
if a scanner is, say, 3200x1600 dpi, then a tiny 35mm negative won't go much past 2400x1600px which is about 5MP equiv.
