If you start getting a hang when you launch the BFC3 client, you log in, and it sits on some scanning ports mode...going no-where..do this. Close it, open but don't log in. Go to your settings where you configured the server profile, and uncheck that autoscan Gamespy ports, leaving it instead to use that default manual port of 23000 or whatever the heck it is.

Thanks Cat...I'll keep it in mind...but so far so good..no hang up's. I REALLY love this admin program compared to BBO's :)
if you could just open it without having to alt tab out to get to it..... think I will just run it on the laptop and save the hassle

Same as Illini, so far so good.
Irs, mine runs on my second pc beside me, much easier than alt-tab for sure.

Yeah I have it running on the wifes computer, which is in my office, 90 degree turn to my right. So if I have to kick or do anything while playing, I turn in my office chair...roll over a couple of feet...right click, and do whatever.

I run mine on the server that is hooked up via KVM switch.
Double key stroke on the Scroll Lock, do my business, double click back and I'm off and flying again.
I can usually do it while flying a plane without crashing. LOL

Yeah I saw that this morning. It fixes a scrolling problem, but you lose the ability to resize/stretch the client window. That seems to be the only thing he fixed. Personally I prefer to resize/stretch, since I run a high resolution on the computer I run the remote manager on.

Is there a way to watch the game through the server mngr ?? W-atch the chat and stuff w/out actually being in game ??

It says I have been succesfully loged in but under map it's says not connected and shows no players.

Go to the chat window of the admin program.
i retsrated the server app and the bfv.exe, and all's good now.
for some reason the admin app was running, and was stating that the server was mounted, but it wasn;t...... showed an empty server when it was not empty.
anyhow.... looks to be straightened out now.

The only I know to do is just watch the scores. I do this usually when I am on the computer, but not playing (I know I know, it's shameful). And the only thing you can watch for then is more than 3 tk's, either by -6 score, or 6 less points than kills. And thats not 100% effective.

Hmm....well, going to update the server to the new version tonight....actually I'll do it now since I'm here. All admins will have to download the latest .exe.
Will post in a minute when it's done.

Oops...that was my bad, the update e-mail I had from him was for bf'42, not BFV.
Hmmm, perhaps uninstall and reinstall client? I know the server is running fine, as I have no issues with either manager at home.

All is fine here :)
Think I found out my problem for the pausing and such...I think it's PunkBuster. Im even pausing in BF42 :( and I've been booted from a few servers saying PB error's :(
Had a prob last night connecting with the server manager. Uninstalled, deleted directory, reinstalled. Works now.
No problems here tonight.

OK yeah I did notice something was up. While I'm not getting errors at home, my client was showing the same 2 guys playing for quite a while, with no score change. So I PcAnywhere'd into the server. The server manager showed no players, yet the game console had 8 in it playing away. Dismounting the server from the server manager and remounting it did not get it working again, so had to fully shut down the game server, server manager, then start it back up again.
Sigh....sounds like what Faust had to do a few days ago. Well...I'll try to shut down/start the game server each morning when it's empty. Hopefully a new version will be out soon. I'm now using 1.02C client.
I've been using the 1.02A version without a hitch every night....do I need to update to something else?

Negative. It appears to be a problem with the server manager...loses touch with the actual server. Not client related.
