View Full Version : LOL...this place is quickly becoming the Cult of YeOldeStoneCat!!!
hehehe
Maybe SG should change it's name to Cat's Pad. Seems like gaming has taken over the community.....something fun for a change.
Anyone still fold LOL?

More gaming horspower means more folding horsepower.
My UT server means a 1.9 PIV sitting there folding 24/7.
I go to Hyperthreading 2.4 of 24/7 folding power due to gaming requirments
Splash goes to 2.53 24/7 folding power for new UT.
One kid goes from 900 celly to 1.3 Tuala of 24/7 folding power due to game requirements.
Other kid goes from 500 Celly to 1 gig Tuala of 24/7 Folding power due to game requirements.
All in all Folding wins the gaming upgrades in our house

He doesnt return ICQ's or phone calls either. But he's sure there to collect your server $$$$$ .Upgrading his video card with money from your server donations.

No...Just money hungry. Server only uses about $10-20 worth of bandwidth yet he's claiming $150.00 + .What a crock of ****.You guys can rent your own server for $40.00 per month with full admin.Think about it....you can get web hosting for $8.00 per month with 40 gigs of transfer. You aint using more than that.So why should you pay $150.00 per month....I know!! So he can pocket the $$.

Just cuz you guys blew it with your CoD server...backing out of your deal,
BTW guys, this here's a member of Zombie Battalion, who tried to "free ride" the CoD server. She's upset cuz I yanked the plug after no money came in, and I had to pitch in with my own cash that last month. I finally got smart and pulled the plug. They paid for 90% of the memory upgrade, I pitched in the rest of the money myself, even though I don't play the game. So after nearly 3 months of riding on the bandwidth for free, I kept the memory for at least a partial reimbursement towards myself, and that server is now the private DC server.
They were supposed to anti up some cash for the bandwidth each month, instead of 180 dollars a month for a 6 meg DSL line, plus have a few LAN parties in the training room to help supplement the extra bandwidth costs.
No money came in from donations
A half hearted attempt at a LAN party was backed out on.
And BTW I bought my video card last spring, 2003...waaaay before the server was even up.

ROFL. Learn some facts first.
Dedicated server co-lo's average 250/month anywhere you look. Big difference from renting a 16 or 32 player virtual server.

Stonecat is very credible around here. You have no right to throw those things out. Look around on the web and you'll se the quality gaming servers costing 100-250 a mo.

Dude I have BFV and UT2K4 sitting here and still haven't played them. My Son's digging the new UT though.:D I suppose the urge to play will strike and I'll be ready.
Hey bajaboy,
Take your trolling a$$ out of here. Cat's a stand up guy. Your allegations are unfounded and your weak attempt of character assassination is not appreciated. :irate:

Just to clear the air over anybody's doubts about the server donations, and the costs I incur on the server...I'll post my entire history of PayPal. I blurred out the peeps names who donated...no for privacy reasons. But payments are clear.

Now, to explain, payments to Interbridge.net are for Rich the bandwidth guy. The 85 dollar payment for memory that didn't work...that was the stuff Roundeye had...it just didn't work. There is one motherboard purchase I made for myself, but that was drawn from my bank account, as is every month's payment balance to Rich, since monthly income is far less than monthly outgoing. Also that 144 dollar payment for memory, the payment for that other 145 dollars was put on my personal credit card to Crucial.
Also note that 200 dollars donation made by Philip from SG! Without that...I'd seriousely be in debt for this venture.
Total income from PayPal donations. $1,044.00
Total paid out for hardware, and bandwidth hosting, subtracting the 112.99 I paid for my motherboard, $1,364.19.
Difference so far shelled out from my pockets to keep it running...$320.19.

Wow! That was awefull nice of Phillip to donate that kind of money!!
Cat,
You didn't have to post your history. What im getting at is we all know your a stand up guy and well respected here at Speedguide. Dont let one of your ex clan mates get the best of you by trying to make you feel bad about pulling the plug. If I was in your shoe's I'd do the same in a hearbeat!!!
On another note...Look's like you need some more donations...come on people...donate!! :)
Didn't realize my thread was going to become a facilitator of controversy.
I don't care to post my fiscal history with YOSC but I will say this...I trust Cat and know that he's very appreciative of any and all help he receives.
;)
I know this as I have been the recipient of Cat's good will.
Maybe we can get a mod to close this thread because I for once would like to have the last word and for it to end on a positive note.

I have the last word now.
I still fold 24/7 on all my machines (don't ask for alist, I forget;)). The [DD] BF:V server folds 24/7 as well.... All of course for Team 15. :D
Sheesh. People are crazy these days.
I know co-lo isn't cheap. I'm actually in the process of getting setup with a few servers. They can really gouge you on prices. $150 isn't anything!
Last word.
