The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer DADS that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_{31B00FEC-D19D-4086-BAEB. The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced.

alright both machines are running xp pro, one i have set up as a file shack and the other is my dads box witch is down stairs and he is allways having problems. it seems that these 2 computers are fighting over who is the master browser or some thing.
can any one give me any ideas what to change or fix?

That's a normal function of windows, if you want, you can disable the computer browser service on your dad's computer.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ Browser\Parameters
IsDomainMaster = No
MaintainServerList = No
When on a peer to peer network, computers usually have to "settle down" together and eventually figure out who's master browser. When on a domain, all clients are supposed to be subservient to the DC...but sometimes you get a roque computer that will not settle down correctly, and keeps cause this error to bark down. There is a Microsoft hotfix for WinXP computers which do this on a domain. But you can also just edit the registry noted above.

You need a full server operating system to have a Domain Controller.
