Hello,

I am sharing ADSL 512kb broadband with my brother through a 10mbit network. On his computer when in gameserver or to a website e.g. www.jolt.co.uk he pings around 12ms, however I ping 20-28ms. Is this because I am sharing through the network? Don't understand cause its only 1 hop extra and I ping my brothers computer at 1<ms. I used the tweaks on website but my ping has not lowered. Help!

It sounds like you are using Internet Connection Sharing (or another similar tool) on his computer to connect?

If so, consider getting an economical router instead.

Be sure that the default RWIN on both computers is set to a low value, no great than the default of 17520. Otherwise one computer will drag the other's ping down.
