had norton av for like 6 months...its expired and then i tried AVG thinking i would buy the pro version after hearing good things about it from various sources........after i installed avg it was picking up 1 instance of netsky in a deleted items folder.
it kept finding the instance of it but would do nothing with the file when i ran a scan on the folder it claimed it was in.......i browsed to this folder and looked in it (and i have explorer set to show hidden files and folders) and there was nothing there.
after a full system scan it found nothing when the program itself had indicated multiple times that netsky was there in your_details.pif
well decided to look around in a few Antivirus roundup reviews.....i saw panda in the top few in more than one roundup.
installed the DEMO.......
the demo scanned my system (full scan) and picked up 17! instances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
among them sircam and netsky.
alot of these files are archive files that i have kept and hardly ever access and they exist on multiple physical drives.
the DEMO picked them out and disinfected them all.
i just bought it.....so i shall continue to use this and see if i have any problems.
this looks to be an outstanding product.
