If i redirected anyone else to another forum from the place you are advertising it would get banned and probably most other forums why don't you redirect people from dslr to here and see what happens.

You really don't have to make a double post to make your post count go higher, but I haven't seen anyone yet(I could be wrong) redirect anyone here, your a member there, so you can help out there and here, so don't really worry about it, atleast he will have two sources(BBR & SG.net) to come to when in time of need. I also redirected him there because that forum is nothing but Satellite users so maybe he can benefit from it.

Honestly do you go to dsl reports and redirect people from there??? .
I could care less about my count I already am on two forums already. The other one i'm on I don't redirect people on here to there even though it involes tweaking and everything that is covered here on this site and the topic at hand.

Listen i understand you are trying to help no doubt about that it's like i said grant i'm no admin, I probably shouldn't say anything at the same time sg has the same things as the site you are pointing people there too.

Yes every site has it pros n cons there is good people and bad people everywhere.

As for me helping out and dslr nope won't do it for a couple of reasons a. my threads probably would be locked b. according to there drtcp faq everything both sites sg and cn do is sorta speak illegal and against there rules and in the past they made false statements about both sites I help at with no proof what's so ever.

DSLR is not out to get you ;)

Just because you've had a bad experience doesn't mean others will have the same, BBR isn't all that bad, you just have to know what is what, etc.

That proves my whole point why are you dodging my questions you sound just like them every time a couple of people i know try to have decent debate they wouldn't answer any questions invloing tweaking. I could show you post after post that got locked due to people debating or even mettioning speedguide.net why is that???

Do you goto dslr and advertised this site yes or no????

My company uses and has used direcway satellite for about three and a half years. The first system we used was the dw4000. It was usb only and required a running program on one computer acting as the gateway if you had a network.

The new system is the dw6000. Its self hosted and doesnt even have a usb port on it. The ethernet connection is 100 full and the modem has built in router capabilities and will assign ips to the computers. Just add a switch.

The bad news... The latency can never get better, Physics being what they are. The upload speed is normally about 30-60 kbps.
Download has hit 1.5 meg but its rare.

You cant really tweak the connection to the isp. Your connection is at the mercy of the weather at your local and the N.O.C. Tech support is over seas. Ive had them tell me to wait for better weather and call again.

If its all you can get, then it might be worth it. Forget gaming, its just to much lag! They have a year contract also, 15 months if you want to make payments on the equipment.

we just signed for 15 months to upgrad to the new modem and a month later the phone company brings DSL withen 6000 feet of our shop. Figures!

I can vouch for that. I've had more than a few thread's locked and have been warned about being banned over there just because I was trying to help people out by mentioning SG. I only use BBR for my isp's forum and that forum only. Matter of fact, I have a thread over there now that has a SG link and it's still not locked, LOL.

This thread is about satellite connections, not about a relationship with DSLR. The moderators there have always cooperated with me to stop Speedguide bashing. They do discourage posting of links to Speedguide just as we discourage posting of inappropriate links to their site.

Thanks,
