Ok....Steele....Followed you're link....Followed you're directions to the "T"....For the 3rd time....Still having the same problem....In Optimizer, There is no Dial Up Adapter in the Adapter selection box....The I.P. Address is blank...In the "Other Settings" box, the settings of 4 & 8 change to 10 & 10, every time I connect online...After I reboot the optimizer is reset to the cable setting...In "Internet Options" the temp. internet files settings keep reverting back to auto...and no matter how many times I go into the connections box and uncheck "Proxy Server"...upon connecting to the internet, the Proxy is enabled again....This could be a good thing because with the Proxy disabled, my Agere Win Modem (Dial up) will only connect at 28.80kbps...With proxy enabled it connects in the 40kb range...My Internet Service Provider is MSN...Could they be the reason I'm having this problem????No matter what I do I can't seem to get the Optimizer to work right, or the Proxy Server to stay disabled....If there is some useful information you can share, I would really appreciate it....In my last post titled "Cont." I copied & pasted the results of the analyser...which contain a lot of information about the I.S.P....Still Scratching my head....Bobster.

OK first of all please stick to one thread, you have three threads all about the exact same thing.

Don't use the TCPOptimizer, you don't need if you use CableNut and in the link I gave you there are CableNut settings.

MSN doesn't use proxy servers so you have something installed that could be causing the problem. Have you scanned for spyware as per my instructions?
