View Full Version : Don't go out alone and stop running over landmines.

What is so hard to understand about these two concepts?

When you go alone...you are going to die. Plain and simple.....so wait up a few seconds for your team to gather up a few vehicles.

Next item......I'm getting kinda tired of being kicked from the server because my teammates fail to look at their screens and notice the big red skull and bones symbol which signify LANDMINES!!!!!

What kills me even more...is when I'm standing in front of your tank so you don't run them over in your haste to leave the base....and when I move out of the way...you run them over anyway.

Part of keeping a base is defending it by any means necessary. I'm going to landmine it every time but I always leave an out. It may not be the most direct route but it is there.

Enjoy.:D :D

Seriously, I did not know what the skull & cross bones meant. I thought I was being targeted or something.

Yeah even though I'm an engie all the time, I almost gave up planting mines, due to losing 2 points each time a team mate blindly drives over them.

Im glad Im not the only one that feels this way. It seems medina is the worst at this. Another note.. You can use an engineer to remove mines that have been planted if you need to get out but cant.

Same here ... lol

I have defintely seen how running in a pack is soooo much more effective , just skirting from one flag to the next , gain control then the entire pack ( 3-4 tanks ) roll off together spreading apart slightly (to hit from different angles) right before getting to the next flag ....

My favorite team mate last night on one of the maps ( I stil cannever remember the names ) was whoever was piloting hte Little bird for the Coalition. They would clear out this flag area ( 3 in a row ) with bombs and gun fire , then I could roll up in my tank and finish them off to capture the flag .... I think they deserved all the points that I got because without them I neer owuld have stood a chance ...

I am guilty of hitting landmines on occassion because I'll be barrelling forward and then BOOM ....

you can disable enemy mines with an engineer. but yeah, that's why i never place mines either. it almost always costs more than it's worth. i don't think it's worth it to set a layer of mines that kills three idiot team mates and only one enemy. those idiot team mates could probably have killed an enemy, or at least been a decoy while i swoop in and kill the enemy team. you know, shoot at them, not me. i just wish people could look out where they're going, because mines are great. even if the enemy tank driver sees them and tries to get around them, it means he (or she) is distracted. while they're looking for a way around, just slam them with a couple rpg shots. it at least weakens them for when your artilary arrives.

And another thing!!!

Don't step in front of a teammate that is unloading his weapon in enemy, you will just become a shield for them and a -2 points for me!!!

I refuse to apologize for this, happened twice last night. Guys just walked right by me, no way they couldn't see me.

Oh, and one more thing!

Don't go firing your Stinger at your team when they are in the AC-130...sure fired way to die very quickly.

I agree.

Usually if I'm a sniper though I will split from the pack b/c I'm less noticed that way. Sneaky Sneaky sir.

And also sometimes the skull and crossbones will not show up for mines, most of the time I don't hit them but occasionally I do.

So I'm not supposed to step on the mines?

My god, so that's what I've been doing wrong. :p
