They don't seem to post on these forums at all.
I asked :) and s/he said they're new... even hardcore... I don't know... I've seen so many new folks around that I haven't seen on the forums... Makes me think that everyone just throws on a tag.

They must be assuming that it puts them above the rules or what have you. If so they need to know the rules apply to all or the server would be a tard fest.;)
Plain and simple there's no nepotism for bearing [SG] tag. :nope: :p

I assumed they had to be a"contributing" member to join SG. I say boot whoever we dont know. Anyone who "contributes" will answer all the threads asking who the hell all the new people are

wasn;t me..... and i have noticed i have a rep for playing under old or random names (probably because it;s true :p ). saw them last night on El Alamein and was wondering the same thing.
i imagine as long as they are behaving, then there's not really a problem...... aside from just not knowing who they are. just my opinion, of course.... seeing as how i change my DC name every other day, names don;t mean much to me other than being recognized..... and sometimes i just want to be anonymous.

i'd have to agree with you there. and then there's the idea of people wearing the [SG] badge and going elsewhere and being jerks..... defaming the SG name.
i guess it just doesn't bother me enough to get worked up over. who knows.... maybe it IS another SG member just playing around.

i've been seeing the same thing. however, it could be members that don't use their SG username and use their own gaming name...like me.

i say first put up a warning in the server messages... "The [SG] tag is reserved for SpeedGuide.net members only, blah blah blah"....then a week later start kicking ppl that don't post. :D

He told Cat and I today he was Sitosterol(sp?) bro...
.(SG)Hardcore still decides to skirt around who he is...Said he was Speedguide.net but didnt know who the hell StoneCat was...I say let me ban Hardcore till he decides to post here then I will delete his key from the file...:p

Ok, [SG] Hardcore is my other roomate. I told him about the server and site in the hopes he would participate in it as a whole, but he has just told me about a conversation he had with YOSc and now I'm f*cking fuming mad. My Brother-in-law called me, but I haven't returned his message and now I know what that's about...
Well now, here I sit, looking like an ass.

No need to go banning peeps just because they toss on the "SG" badge. We're not a clan, just try to talk to them like I did today, ask them who they are, if they're SG forum members, where they came from, how they heard of us, etc. HardCore, yeah he was a little shy about saying who he was, but he wasn't acting like some smacktard or anything, matter of fact he was doing quite well. Just a little curt or evasive about explaining who he was.
He did't make you look like an a$$ Sitosterol...no worries.
Remember, lets be friendly and welcome people. We want to bring people to the server, and to the SG site and forums.

Kidding bout the banning thing,Hence the smiley....But yes it did/does bug me that he was not a contributing member...All he had to do was say who brought him to the server..No problem with him on my end...

If they don't want to post, is it really a big deal? As far as responding to messages in a game, sometimes I am to busy trying not to die or to cap a flag or kill an enemy to respond, then I forget about the question that was asked.
If you guys could only see the ***** that has ensued because of this on my end.
All I wanna do is play the damn game and have some fun..

Maybe, but seeing words on a computer game doesn't affect their life.... I'm sure any kid playing this is at LEAST 13 years old, and they hear it on a daily basis, in the movies they watch, the music that they listen to, their parents, their friends.

Welp it's the rules and the land of the free bit dont apply on the server...It's built and paid for by Stonecat so what he says goes..I myself swear like a sailor but try not to around children..It's one of the reasons I dont get on TS because im usually yelling something along the lines of" Bull**** you ignorant mother****er,no way Bill Gates ****ing hell your gay lama ass shott me through there....**** **** ****...."
