i recently purchased the kodak dx4530, a 5mp camera with 3x optical zooner. I purchased it through a sneaky deal with OM for $199, including a 128meg SD card. So, I sold it on ebay for $240 because I felt it would be a difficult case returning it to OM.
I wasnt impressed with it for four reasons. First of all, the lenses cap was removable. Second, many pictures were simply too dark (even with the flash). Third, the frame was cheap plastic. Although the shutter speed is fast enough (1/1700 max), many simple action shots of my kids playing were blurry.
So, I have redesigned what I'm looking for. I want a metal case for the camera. I understand I have to be careful, but I do have 2 1/2 little ones and a cheap plastic case wont last! I'd like the lense cover to be retracable. I'd be happy with a 3mp or better and a 3x optical zooner.
Price isnt too much of an object, I want quality and EASE-of-use. I dont mind shutter delay of less then a second, but my HP has a shutter delay of almost 3 seconds.
